About Ludacris Ludacris, aka Luda, (born Christopher Brian Bridges on September 11, 1977 in Champaign, Illinois) is a Grammy Award winning African American rapper and actor. Born in Illinois, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he eventually made a name for himself, first as a Radio DJ and then as one of the most prominent Southern rappers.
