About Alex Zane

Alex Zane (born 3 March 1979 in Leeds, England), is a presenter, stand-up comedian and DJ. Born a British Greek, he attended Boston Spa Comprehensive School before going on to study Medicine at University College London, a course which he left after a year, and then Media and Communications at Goldsmiths College. He left Goldsmiths also without graduating. Zane began his stand-up comedy career at the age of 18 when he became a finalist on an open-mic competition called So You Think You're Funny.
