About These New Puritans These New Puritans are a four-piece band from Southend-on-sea, consisting of Jack Barnett (vocals, guitar, computer, sound), his twin brother George Barnett (drums, tapes, percussion), Tomas Hein (bass guitar, sampler, backing vocals, percussion) and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson (synthesizers.) Their debut release, Now Pluvial came on Angular Records in November 2006. The previous month they appeared on an NME compilation of New Rave acts.
