Dr. Dre (born André Romell Young on February 18, 1965 in Los Angeles, California) is an influential Grammy-Award winning American record producer, hip hop producer, rapper, actor and record executive. He is also the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment. Young is a significant figure in the development of rap music. He was a founding member of the influential rap group N.W.A, which popularized the use of explicit lyrics in rap detailing the violence of street life.
