Jamelia Niela Davis more commonly known by just her first name Jamelia (born January 11, 1981), is a British R&B singer. She made her breakthrough outside of Europe in 2003, when her single Superstar went top ten in multiple countries, including #1 in Australia and New Zealand. Jamelia was born in Birmingham, England to a Jamaican mother and Jamaican father [1]. She was raised in the inner city district of Winson Green.
