Annie Nightingale is the only female DJ in the world to be awarded an MBE by the Queen (2001). This is her abridged biography. Breakbeat queen Annie Nightingale’s unique career spans the Beatles to Basement Jaxx. She was is Britain's first female DJ. Her current electro-dance show for Radio 1 has the largest worldwide audience and is massively popular via the internet in the United States.
