About Lady Sovereign

Lady Sovereign (born Louise Amanda Harman in Wembley, London) is a British grime MC. Born on December 19, 1985, she was raised on the Chalk Hill estate in Wembley, NW London. Though she was kicked out of school when she was only 16, she became one of the UK's few white female MCs. She has been cited often as part of the rising British grime scene.[citation needed] Lady Sovereign cites Ms. Dynamite as an influence and has supported The Streets, Obie Trice, Dizzee Rascal and Basement Jaxx on tour.
