About The Tiger Lillies

The Tiger Lillies are a cult three-piece band, based in London. Formed in 1989, they have toured world-wide and won acclaim with their opera Shockheaded Peter. Their surreal style has been described as darkly humorous, Brechtian, gypsy cabaret. They are also notorious for singing controversial songs involving bestiality, prostitution and blasphemy, shocking unsuspecting audiences. In 1999 their work was featured in the film Plunkett & Macleane. Have been listening to their album. All very nice and jolly (well, far from jolly). The one thing that bugs me is that I can't stop thinking of Monty Python - Life of Brian and "He's a very naughty boy".
