About The Barker Band

The Barker Band came to be after twin brothers Jake and Sam Barker began playing bluegrass with their dad, Lenny, and their oldest friend, Laurie Sherman. The four of them then played a few accoustic sessions in small clubs and pubs in London to very enthusiastic audiences and realised pretty quickly that there seemed to be a thirst for this kind of music. It wasn't long before they started writing and recording their own songs, drawing on influences from bluegrass, rock, country and blues.
