About Coldcut

Coldcut is a duo comprising English DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More. During their career they have encompassed a wide range of styles from hip hop and rap to electronica and jazz-inflected sounds. It was in the Autumn 1986 when the duo first came together. Computer programmer Matt Black, carrying a tape recording that featured the inception of "Say Kids, What Time Is It?", a track he had made for a Capital Radio mix competition, browsed in the Reckless Records store on Berwick Street, in London.
