Legendary band Silver Apples started life in the late 1960s as psychedelic electronic music duo of Simeon Coxe who performed on a primitive synthesizer (oscillator) of his own making and Danny Taylor on drums. The band released two albums that made the Billboard charts and quickly developed a cult following in their adoptive home town of New York. The band drifted into obscurity following a financial disagreement with their management and record label closure but reformed in the 90s when their music became popular again. The band are credited with creating synth rock many years before the likes of Kraftwerk and indeed many modern bands like Spaceman 3/Sonic Boom, Suicide and Cabaret Voltaire owe a great deal to these early pioneers. The band's revival was put on hold following an auto accident and then later the death of Danny Taylor but in 2007 Simeone made a very succesful comeback tour of the USA with a special invite from Portishead to play last year's ATP. See this legend while you can!

Laymar play dark atmospheric blood soaked instrumentals that some might call post rock. Kerrang Magazine gave their album "In Strange Lines and Distances" 4/5 whilst MusicOMH.com and Rockerilla (Italian) Magazine gave it 9/10. "Swords" is a monster of a track"
